Pete Riggs, Luke Malek Wannabe

Before we dive into this, we’re going to issue a disclaimer. Many of the people mentioned are easy to talk with and kind in person. Some have very deep pockets and have contributed generously back to the community to worthwhile causes. However we are not here to discuss their kindness or generosity, but rather their politics and crony capitalism. It’s up for debate to whether these people are generous solely for tax write-offs, for the notoriety, or if it’s out of a guilty conscience for selling Idahoans out politically. That would depend on the individual, and is a subject for another time.

Throughout history there have been numerous examples of regimes oppressing liberty for the sake of lining their pockets. Whether it be Edward I Longshanks’ iron fist rule over the Scots, King George III’s unjust taxation of the colonies, or the countless other examples worldwide (Not picking on the English, it just fit well). Their endgame was to control the masses in an effort to make themselves and their friends wealthier. Sometimes it was via oppression of a nation, but more common was local financial control by a few wealthy families. In Kootenai County, we see this same story being played out before our eyes. The local elites continue to get richer via crony capitalism, making themselves a sort of good ole boy cabal. We’ll call them the CDA Clique.

LIVING IN DAD’s SHADOW

This is where Peter J. Riggs enters the picture. He’s the son of Dr. Jack Riggs, former District 4 State Representative, and one term Lt. Governor of Idaho. Jack also owns Pita Pit, has a lengthy list of real estate investments, and has considerable political influence in the state. While Jack can be fun to chat with, he’s a moderate politically on his best day.  When in office Jack was a politician, always doing the bidding for the timber, dairy, medical, tobacco, and other liberty strangling industries in Idaho. Therefore politics are in Pete’s blood.

Pete ran for State Rep for District 3 in 2016 and narrowly lost to Don Cheatham, despite having double the funds in his war chest. Looking at Pete’s financials from that election we found some interesting things. These should be no surprise to the seasoned liberty minded folks that analyze election data. Consider it a refresher for you folks, and an introduction for those new to the subject.

Remember Jack Riggs was tight with the timber and dairy lobbyists in the state. That may seem benign to some, but those two groups are among the biggest fighters of liberty in the state. Currently the cow-milkers are lobbying in overdrive on the immigration reform, wanting illegal immigrants to be given a drivers license. Jack was also tight with real estate PAC’s, and lobbyists. Therefore it should come as no surprise Pete had sizable donations from these groups.

Jennifer Drake- $200 This is his little sis, and a well known noise-maker in CDA. You might remember her and her pal Sarah Meyer made the news a few years back for opposing the Recall CDA movement after the McEuen Park debacle. Notice Sarah’s last name, yes she’s the daughter-in-law of Parkwood Property money man Steven Meyer. Jennifer also heads up the CDA Arts commission and is infamous for her weird art recommendations. Remember the Ganesha statue on Sherman Ave? What about the faulty and drab looking Rainbow bridge on Front St? Recall Marker 11, the communist monument in Riverstone Park? Yep all at her recommendation. The City did the right thing to remove the communist monument, but Jennifer showed up at the next council meeting and told them the “what to”. She also runs the Crown and Thistle pub in a building her daddy owns.

Steve Widmyer- $250 Steve has done very well for himself as real estate investor. He has very deep pockets and connections. As mayor he typically sides with the more liberal council members, although he did surprise us for taking a stand on the parking fee disaster last year. He also thinks URD’s are a good thing for CDA and owns property in a few. I’ll give this to Steve, on a personal level he is the most approachable Mayor CDA has had in eons.

Jim Deffenbaugh- $500 Jim was the executive director for Panhandle Area Council (PAC) for 30 years. They are a designated Economic Development District for the five northern counties of Idaho. One of many tasks they do is assist in Urban Renewal District (URD) agency creation and administration. Jim passed away in 2018.

Thomas Cronin- $100 Thomas was a former police chief for CDA police and the CDA Tribe. He is now Treasurer for Balance North Idaho, a very liberally minded Political Action Committee.

Brenda Bookholtz- $100 She served as his treasurer for Pete’s campaign in 2016. Vocationally she was Pita Pit’s treasurer at the time. Now she works under Mike Kennedy, former liberal CDA City Council member, at Intermax Networks, a company owned by Steven Meyer. Steven is the founder of Parkwood Properties, a wealthy land management company that will be the main financial  benefactor of the Health Corridor URD.

Katie Brodie $250 and Laurie Thomas- $75 Both are board members for the North Idaho Political Action Committee (NIPAC), see below for more info. Laurie is the chief deputy treasurer for Kootenai County.

BUSINESS AND PAC DONATIONS

CDA Tribe- $1000 The CDA Tribe’s biggest lobbying efforts are typically tobacco related. Jack Riggs received donations from tobacco companies and lobbyists throughout his time as an elected official.

North Idaho PAC- $1000 Founded by former state legislator and co-founder of Contractors NW, Inc Dean Haggenson. They were the company that was able to secure the CDA McEuen Park bid and other city projects. Rumors abound at his close friendship with previous mayor Sandi Bloem as to why he was able to secure so many city contracts. He is a moderate, who loathed what he called right wing extremists. He put Phil Hart into that category. On the board sits Sandy Patano who is Jack Riggs wife. She claims she started her interest in this PAC due to a hatred of Phil Hart. Also on the board are two donors from above, Katie Brodie, and Laurie Thomas. This PAC is locally famous for picking what Dean said are “electable people”. But almost every candidate they back are moderate, or liberals hiding under the Republican banner.

What does it all mean?

Now what does all the above have to do with the race? The money that will back Peter Riggs are the deep pockets of the area, that benefit most from him being elected. They’re not interested in someone who’ll stick up for the citizen’s rights and defend the Constitution. Remember this crowd stands to profit heavily from the Health Corridor URD, and other URDs around the county. Even if they don’t own property directly in one of the URDs, they are tight with people that do. By being part of the CDA Clique, they’ll be taken care of for being part of the “in crowd”.

So how does Pete Riggs help this crowd if he was elected? The URD lobby in Boise is massive. His vote for legislation favorable to URDs insures the Clique keeps making money from increased property values and improvements in URDs. While on the subject, Steven Meyer has been mentioned in brief above. He founded Mountain West Bank and owns extensive properties in several URDs under the name Parkwood Properties. He’s also the chairman of the Hayden Urban Renewal Agency, and is in tight with IgniteCDA, the CDA Urban Renewal Agency. Some have predicted URDs might make him and his partner Charlie Nipp billionaires over the next 15-20 years. Steven Meyer also serves as chair on the State of Idaho Economic Advisory Council with Sandy Patano (remember Jack Riggs’ wife).

But the potential financial gain is just one aspect of having Pete in the Senate. This crowd almost unanimously hates constitutional candidates, and doesn’t care one iota for the rights of the citizens of Idaho. By having another lame-sauce moderate, they can keep the Senate more middle to left leaning. Remember many in the clique are closer to Dan English or Bernie Sanders than they are to a true conservative like Heather Scott or Phil Hart. This is why we call Pete Riggs, Malek 2.0. He’ll be just as disappointing and get-along with big money as Malek was. Nothing more than a bought and sold yes-man politician. In the words of Herman’s Hermits, “Second verse same as the first.”

On another note, what has Pete done to show he’s even qualified for the job? He’s lived in daddy’s shadow his entire life. Remember during the 2016 debates, he was laughed at for giving long answers about absolutely nothing. His long winded answers left audience participants scratching their heads wondering what his real answer was. His only real job has been working at Pita Pit, where he was listed as CEO for a few years. After that he worked for a year at a local business KORE. Other than that there is NOTHING. So he wants to represent the citizens of District 3 based off experience managing a few restaurants? And because his dad was a politician?

OTHER LOBBYISTS?

We also notice he started a biz called Futurist, LLC in 2018. Typically that term is associated with alt-energy people, often using Nikola Tesla as their inspiration. For Pete we’ve yet to figure out what he interprets it as. KORE where he worked for one year, is a locally owned battery energy storage system maker. They bill themselves as helping to build a reliable, cleaner, environmentally friendly future. This makes us suspect Pete might receive donations or hand outs from energy lobbyists. Time will tell if this is true.

Just say no to yet another left leaning politician in the Idaho Senate. It’s obvious from Pete’s connections and lack of applicable experience he’ll be nothing more than another bought politician. And seeing he’s still young, we’re sure if elected he’d entrench himself in deep, possibly to seek loftier political goals.

Anxious Alex Pontificates

Folks, we’re hard at work on several new pieces exposing fraud, corruption, and deceit. But we’re taking a quick aside to say wow at something a berry picker just sent in. Our jaws are still on the ground! If you’ll recall while Obama was president there was a big ruffle about him providing his birth certificate. The liberals everywhere were furious! Obama claimed it was an attack on his family…he was outraged! Then when he did provide it, many called on the numerous irregularities on it. Liberals went into hyper crazy mode at anyone that doubted King Obama.

Well folks, another Chicago native has just pulled the same move. If you guessed Alex Barron….you are absolutely correct. Here is a screenshot of what he claimed. We’ll cut through the blabber and respond to his points.

First, Chuckle Berries has not officially backed a candidate in your race yet Alex. What we write has nothing to do with your political opponents, your hair dresser, or some random guy at the filling station. Chuckleberries is committed to exposing corruption and vetting candidates. If the local GOP won’t do it, we’ll spot them a favor and help out. If a candidate has a legal or voting history that doesn’t fit within the conservative paradigm, we bring that to the attention of the voters. We are merely watchers and messengers, nothing more. Maybe if you’d keep your nose out of trouble and stop trying to fool people, we’d talk you up.

Next Anxious Alex pulls an Obama sized move, claiming we have spread lies about him. Ummmm Alex, we did not fabricate any legal document about you. You’re the one that got that 4 page criminal history, not us. Judgement against your business and tax liens…again that’s a you problem. Domestic Battery…yeah you again. Shot your neighbor’s dog in 2017…look in the mirror bud. Lie about where you grew up or that you’re an abortion survivor….yep still on you cowboy. All of the rest of your muck….well Captain that’s still on you. Anyone can read the documents posted on this site or at Boiseleaks.org and see they’re legit. If they don’t believe us, they can go to the same court houses our researchers did.

Things Just got hilarious

Now here is the part of the story that gets interesting. Alex claims that he never knew of Larry prior to us writing about Alex. Hmmmm, seems as though he attends KCRCC regularly and you’ve been seen chatting with him many times in the past. You’re not as naive and coy as you come across in your post. Your claim is as laughable as the claim that you’re a rancher.

Then Alex hits prime time with a statement that is in the running for dumbest thing ever said. He claims Larry has been the victim of attacks for years. He wants us to believe Larry is a stand-up guy! Okay here we are in a similar dilemma as before. We’ll type slow, so it sinks in nice and deep in that Alex cerebrum. Larry has numerous legal documents against him to verify each of our claims. We’ve posted many, and have many more to post as time allows. Are you suggesting those are fabrications too? Suggesting citizens of North Idaho just turn a blind eye to the mess he’s caused for himself and his family? Doubting the leadership of the KCRCC for thinking Larry is a stain on local politics? You stumping for da Liz indicates you believe your own lies.

The rest of what Alex pontificated is just rage quit type insults and repeats of the above, with the exception of one point. Alex claims to know intimate knowledge of a death in Larry’s family. Yet prior to this he claims to be a new acquaintance. How is it you have this privy knowledge, yet Larry is acting like normal on Facebook? Now you’re suggesting your political opponents caused this? Dude that’s low even by your despicable standards.

In the event Larry did have a family member that ended her life. We are deeply saddened by this news.  No child should lose a mother to a tragedy such as this. Our condolences go out to her family and friends.

Providing or believing a legal judgement against them is not a fault in you, but is a reflection of them. Nor is it an attack on their families for others to acknowledge they messed up.  Remember liberals love to project their problems on others. The A and L show’s tactics are no different. They’ll continue to blame you while their hands are in the cookie jar. Just tune them out, they’ll get fed up soon enough and shut their yappers.

Our Enemies Come Knocking…

An astute berry picker let us know some of the characters we’ve published dirt on, are on the hunt for Chester’s identity. Brilliant plan shoot the messenger and disregard the message. Where have we seen that before? Oh yeah….liberals. Remember folks, liberals make us laugh.

If you’ve made this page as a result of shady things you’re hiding, or you’ve made liberal political decisions…suck it up. Put on your big person pants and deal with it. By making a stink about the identity of the messenger, you are acting like a liberal.

Lastly, we the Chuckle Berries team agree the path towards true conservativism is an incremental process. Sometimes it takes an event or possibly the election of someone bad to open one’s eyes. Therefore, we understand the path towards being a conservative leader is a journey for some politicians. Yesterdays moderate might be tomorrow’s Ron Paul. Keep up the good fight, read good quality material, and try to understand the world around you through a conservative filter. Our team feels strongly a solid Biblical foundation is key to being a true conservative. As a pastor friend told one of us, “A conservative political stance is a natural expression of the Christian faith.”

Libelous Larry da Lizard Strikes Again….

This post started as an email conversation we had with a dedicated reader. We’re calling it a guest post, because parts are from that email. We did add some filler to help connect the dots better…plus a few chuckles..

Lizard Larry has had a busy time on Facebook the past month. In typical da Liz style, if you oppose him you are the bad guy and he is the hero you never wanted. There are too many instances to cover in one post, so we’ll just hit a few highlights. One thing we found in common is when people call him out on his malarkey, he lays on the personal insults, making sure to say as much libelous nonsense as he can. Why? Because he thinks he can slither about and do as he please with no consequences. He’s gotten away with libel for so long, he thinks he’s above the law.

Of late we saw was his deep “Assessment” of the February KCRCC meeting. If you’ll recall he showed up with a big ole yellow bucket of popped corn, ’cause he knew a show was to be seen. What many don’t know is we’ve had several reliable sources tell us da Liz put Stewie up to saying what he said during that meeting. Being the attention whore he is, the next day da Liz posted on Duane Rasmussen’s Facebook page his authoritative assessment. But he added his own personal stabs and libel hurled at Dan Green and Marc Eberlein. He then cut and pasted this slime in several Facebook groups, and on a few pages. Larry was a hero in his own warped mind, and was letting us know he is the smartest man in the Pacific Northwest. Remember he’s the true conservative, the rest of us are just idiots.

Next Larry set his sights on anyone that was supporting a different sheriff’s candidate than him. Oppose da Liz and get da libel. One of the most outlandish was an open attack on Richard Whitehead and one of his supporters. In typical Larry style, he called them a “cute couple”, knowing full well they are not married to one another. He also knew beforehand they each had their separate marriages. The picture was nothing more than a photo op. It’s not uncommon for someone to pose with a political candidate. Larry knew this, but hurled his dirty diapers anyways. He didn’t post this picture once but on at least three or more separate occasions, each time telling the lie again. Then he perpetuated his libel in comment sections over and over again. Even when corrected, he still went into one of his long obnoxious rants feigning ignorance….drama queens are dramatic. This isn’t the first time da Liz has accused people of infidelity, it’s common practice for him.  Pennie had this to say to Larry’s claim:

“I’ve been married for 35 years since I was 19 . Still married to the same person and very upset that he would say those things.” 

But Larry wasn’t done there. This week a local contractor, Justin Cottrell asked in a private group about da Liz’s back child support and tax liens…Larry went all the shades of bonkers. Remember he only asked da Liz if what was said was true, he wanted clarification! Da Liz then accused him of being an FBI agent or informant, and claimed this man might be the reason Phil Hart lost an election and why John Green lost his court case. Seriously folks, you can’t make this kinda stuff up…we’ve often wondered what kinda stuff goes on in Larry’s noggin.  Da Liz then claimed Mr. Cottrell went around telling people they needed to issue hunting tags for hunting federal agents. Thankfully people called Larry out for his goofy accusations, making him look the part of an idiot. Mr. Cottrell issued this statement via email.

“I’ve known Larry Spencer for roughly 9 years. I supported him for his run for county commissioner in 2012. We were never close, but I thought we were on good terms. I simply asked if he could explain the documents I read about him. Others were asking, but he ignored them and attacked me. His claim that I am associated with the FBI is unfounded. And that I used that power to submarine two of my closest friends is insulting. Phil Hart has been a friend and business associate for over 12 years. I’ve counted John Green as a friend almost a decade and we speak regularly. Both laughed at his stupid claims. Also his claim that I’m issuing violent threats is false. He did come to my jobsite a few times. But each time there was normal construction banter. Never did anyone joke about killing anyone. I’ve asked the guys that worked with me about this and they agree he is wrong. I  wish to live a quiet life and not be around drama like this. Thank you for reaching out to me, Justin Cottrell”

Soon after da Liz claimed he didn’t know Deborah Rose. Yet they worked together early in the sheriff’s race to promote John Grimm. If they don’t know each other, then how do they work with the same raging fervor to libel the same groups of people? Regardless of the depth of their friendship, we’re sure most of our readers are familiar with Deb’s multiple Facebook attacks regarding the recent Athol Sheriff’s forum. In the end due to her slander on Facebook, 3 candidates backed out of the forum. She was so irked she went on a rampage, bucking and slinging snot like a mad rodeo bull.  Anyone that doubted her was an idiot at risk of being sued. On a rather humorous note, the number of people on Facebook that claim to have her blocked might be over one hundred. Every time Deb is mentioned in a thread, people come outta the woodwork to mention how she harassed and threatened to sue…so they put threw out a block. Miss Congeniality has that sorta fallout with people. Can we put her on mute at KCRCC meetings? Commie Corner would be quieter….

What’s this post gotta due with the price of baggies of hand sanitizer on the black market? First libel is a serious crime, and there is law in Idaho to protect those harmed. To the right you’ll see Idaho Statue 18-4801 and 18-4802. The punishment is up to a $5,000 fine and up to 6 months in jail. Sadly Facebook has turned into the new bullying place for people like da Liz and Little Debbie. Since no one will listen to them at political meetings any longer, they resort to bullying and harassing anyone that crosses them. As for Deb, if you really get her upset…she’ll sue you!!! We’d suggest those libeled by da Liz to sue him for libel. But remember he has a debtors line a mile long, hoping to get a meager few crumbs. As for Deb, how many lawsuits is she in right now? How many times has she been brought up on harassment charges? The best option if you feel threatened or harmed is go to law enforcement and talk to them to see if you have a solid case. If it’s just annoying, block the bullies or ignore them.

Lastly as per a suggestion in regards to Larry’s FBI post, maybe it’s time people invested in FBI hats to wear around da Liz. While you’re at it, someone has to wear ATF and CIA hats to throw him off.  Not a bad idea, just to see him sweat and cower in the corner like a scared little man.

Next time you see da Liz, be sure and ask if he’s paid his debts. It’s not libel to remind him of his tax liens….a nice twist would be to hand him a flyer as a reminder. Larry-Boy, you’ve brought this upon yourself.

While not official, Chuckle Berries has heard from a few reliable sources that Pastor Tim Remington will not be running in the election. Someone get Camp Bedke a box of overpriced tissues.  As soon as we have 100% confirmation we’ll post it here. Thank you Pastor Tim!

In other news. Great googly moogly this sheriff’s race is a mud slinging hate-fest.  Notice at the epicenter stand Larry-Boy Spencer and Little Debbie Rose. Remember folks when you dig to the bottom of a rumor and either of those two jokers are involved…its time to disregard the rumor. They each create so much drama, they should start an acting school together called Tweedle’s Wheedles (see end of post for what that means). But back on point, why can’t some of the rumors circling each sheriff’s candidate get squashed already? It’s high time to put up or shut up. If there is definitive proof a candidate has skeletons in their closet, then provide it! Stop perpetuating rumors based off the lies of the aforementioned twins.

Chester’s quick take on the sheriff’s race. It’s the nastiest race we’ve seen in some time. Think Tyson vs. Holyfield, with more gnashing of teeth and smack talk.  Look there are strengths and weaknesses for each candidate. We’ll try to sift the truth from the rumors and give a line up of best to worst candidates. In the meantime we recommend voters do their own research. If you find something bad that has documentation, send it in and we’ll post it. Also a warning. Camp Norris and Camp Grimm, you both have a yahoo you need to ditch. Don’t let Lizard Larry and Little Debbie taint your campaigns…you gotta trust us on this.

 

Larry Da Liz Strikes Again

Speaking of the the male Tweedle Twin, we had a few savvy readers send in this little jewel from a Bonner County Facebook group today. So let’s get this straight. Lizard Larry who is almost 5 years behind on child support and has MAJOR tax and legal debt, was able to graciously spend 50 grand of his own money on a mailer? He’s just that generous of a guy he’ll drop that much change to inform voters? Hold the phone Liz. We’re quite sure you were behind that mailer, but we highly doubt you paid a dime out of your pocket. Either you bilked several people, or one of the cash cows you’ve put blinders on bankrolled it. Regardless, you flaunt this on Facebook to impress the masses to stroke your maniacal ego. (Fishing for a date?) Another point, notice how da Liz paints himself as the Godfather of Idaho Politics. Sociopath much Liz?

Honestly we’re a bit surprised da Liz isn’t behind the shortage of toilet paper at Costco, and selling it for 5 bucks a roll. Sorry for giving him that idea folks…you know you laughed.
