Tom Hamilton Joins Duane Rasmussen in Slamming Brent Regan

Coeur d’Alene School Board member Tom Hamilton listens to a speech during a school board meeting in Coeur d’Alene on Monday, November 12, 2012. KATHY PLONKA kathypl@spokesman.com

It’s been an interesting week on Facebook with Duane Rasmussen making an almost endless stream of drivel to complain about Lincoln Day and Brent Regan. We’re sure tomorrow will bring more gnashing of teeth and whining from him… but we wonder for what gain? Duane my dude, let it go. If you were as abrasive at Lincoln Day as you are in your posts, then we can fully understand why security took issue with you. Kudos to the many good people that chimed in to set Duane in his place. We can only hope it sinks in.

But we found a little surprise in a thread by Dan Gookin complaining about Lincoln Day as well. (We suggest Dan and Duane get together for a big cryfest!) Tom Hamilton who at one time seemed to be getting more conservative made a serious reveal. This was in context with several bash Brent Regan comments. We’ve known you’re socially liberal Tom (wink, wink), but now you’re joining in this unholy fight against Brent? Tom you big lug, you can do better than being a lukewarm bland moderate.

Brent keep up the great work, we fully support you in what you’re doing!

Rumor: Pete Riggs Running for Office

Pete was gonna run for office…but then he got high. He was gonna represent…but then he got high. He wants to be in politics, and we know why…’Cause he got high, because he got high, because he got high. (Apologies to Afroman)

Chester has heard from numerous reliable and a few questionable sources that Pete Riggs, aka Ganja Pete is wanting to run for Senate seat 3. He’ll be joining Alexander “I have nothing to hide” Barron, and ex-county commish Marc Eberlein.

Cathyann Nonini, better known by her street name Karen Manager-Slayer, is assisting him in his run for office. Word is his sister Jennifer Drake will be erecting art throughout CDA with the Communist hammer and sickle in his honor…funded by the citizens of CDA.

P.S. We’re just getting warmed up folks, 7this might be the funnest election year ever!o

Playing the Race Card

The left is well known for playing the race card to get what they want. They’ve gone so far down the rabbit hole, virtually anything can be racist now. Don’t believe in climate change, women’s rights, common core, gun control, or Taco Tuesday? Then you must be racist. But most commonly this tactic is used by the left to hobble their opposition when race is concerned. Sadly it’s forced people to go against their convictions in order to not appear “racist”. Hence the left are known as race-baiters. However they’re not the only ones who fall prey to this scheme, sadly conservatives do as well.

A certain political candidate in Kootenai County, Alex Barron has been lightly playing the race card as of late. In every story he tells, or article he writes he illustrates racial divide, insinuating that the good people of the state of Idaho are racist by nature.  His tactics have some worried he’ll pull an Obama sized race card. “Don’t vote for me? You must be racist” “Want me to follow Robert’s Rules of Order? Racist!!!”

Honestly Alex it’s getting old already, it shows everyone you’re just a one-trick pony. Even in your rebuttal of Shawn Vestal, instead of addressing the facts and having an intellectual argument you went a race-baiting, making yourself look shallow and one sided. Why resort to liberal tactics just to guilt-trip people into supporting you. If you’re truly the conservative candidate you claim to be, then stop the foolishness. Makes one wonder if you’re truly nothing more than a liberal in sheep’s clothing.

Stay tuned folks, we’re just getting started.

Chester

P.S. Since when is someone a “farmer” for having just over 4 acres of property?

He’s Alex, He Does What He Wants

Chester hears rumblings that a few KCRCC members were unhappy with Alex Barron, who is not a precinct committeeman, being able to speak out when he wants during the meeting. Violations being reported are he chimed in while a motion was on the floor, and he fielded a question during Mike Towan’s report on the recent vacancy in district 2A. (Sorry Mike, we love you brother, and heard from our sources you looked embarrassed when this happened.)

Can someone please get him a copy of Robert’s Rules of Order before the next meeting? This sorta behavior is why we can’t have nice things, and is an embarrassment to those that abide by the rules.

P. S. We’re still trying to wade through what Alex said in the meeting….stay tuned.

Low Voter Turn Out?

betsyrussellEvery once in awhile the team at Chuckle Berries put on our bio-hazard suits and trudge through the putrid swamp known as Huckleberries Online. Guarded by a grumpy old troll that goes by the moniker D.F.O… that’s Dumb Freaking Oaf to you pilgrim…or DooFo as we like to call it.  Along the way we chat with fellow conservatives that monitor the swamp’s decay rate, and check to make sure their suits are up to par (Shoshone, Summer, Jennifer, Right Girl, stay strong).

In our last trip into the swamp we noticed the lost souls held under DooFo’s spell chanting the mantra, “Low Voter Turn Out. Low Voter Turn Out.” By DooFo’s side was his comrade Bet-Spray Russell, with her sharp Lillith like tongue leading their legion of radical oppressors into a frothing fury, loud enough to be heard across the state.

Well folks, it’s time to simmer down for a moment and analyze what this mysterious message might mean. Absolutely nothing. While DooFo and Bet-Spray keep screaming the same foul thing, they don’t know what it means. They think low voter turn out is responsible for their good ole boy forces of Sauron taking a big hit in Kootenai County. Let’s take a looksy.

On May 20, 2014 the voter turn out for Kootenai County was 21.72% of registered voters for a grand total of 14,962 casting a vote. In the 2012 Primary a total of 14,811 people cast a vote, for a total of 21.22% of registered voters.

Nice try DooFo, low voter turn out wasn’t the key. A half percent more voters turned out at the polls this time. And still the Shire was saved from your dark forces.

That’s not enough you say? You’d like to have had Kootenai County match the 25% turn out seen in all of Idaho? Okie-dokie, lets look at that. Let’s pretend voter turn out was 3.28% higher what would that mean? To make it slanted to DooFo’s side, let’s further pretend the entire new 3.28% voted for his favored candidates.  Well the truth be told, it wouldn’t have changed a thing. The closest race his side lost was for County Treasurer by a margin of 4.44%. Even if 10% more voters turned out and voted for their candidates , most of the good guys would have still won.

Nice try DooFo and Bet-Spray. Now let’s dive into the ancient scrolls of Huckleberry Swamp.  First we had to distract Doo-ane, and look for the old rotten stump guarded by Thom George to see if they shed any more light on the subject.

The day after the 2012 Primary DooFo felt like a king. He spent the next week gloating how reasonably minded people voted our good friend Phil Hart out, and defeated John Green, Don Gary, Marc Eberlein, and Larry Spencer. In fact he had this to say for his hump-day wildcard on May 16, 2012:  “Can’t stop smiling today. Kootenai County & North Idaho haven’t consumed the Kool-aid that would veer this great region into political chaos. In fact, there are signs all around that local Republicans are turning away from Far Right excess…” DooFo May 16, 2012 Link.

Y’see, the problem isn’t low voter turn out. When his side wins, it’s because the voters were well informed. Well DooFo, the voters in Kootenai County have grown tired of your good ole boy network and bull-butter. An increased voter turn out overwhelmingly voted to rid the land of the ghouls he calls friends.

Before signing off look over this post he made May 18, 2012 when he pontificated that the Tea Party was over in Kootenai County. LINK
