Did you hear the one about the 3 Libs pretending to be Conservatives?…

…Hey wait; this one is not a joke!

Anderson, Eskridge and Keough, Idaho’s Champion Big Spenders!

Vito Barbieri and Eric Anderson are two opposites that don’t attract.  According to the Idaho Freedom Foundation’s latest ‘Big Spender’ ranking, ultra-liberal Representative Eric Anderson of Sandpoint is the number 1 Big Spender in the Idaho Legislature.  Bringing up the rear in dead last is Rep. Vito Barbieri. (Sometimes it’s best to be last!)

It is no secret in Boise that Anderson doesn’t like Vito.  Anderson consistently votes against Vito sponsored legislation in committee, often pontificating as to how crazy the legislation was, at least in Anderson’s “mighty” (mini) mind.  Anderson’s hubris became crystal clear during the debate on the HB 117 – the Obamacare “nullification” bill of 2011.  During the committee debate Anderson reportedly blathered for more than ten minutes, bloviating as to how wrong the concept of nullification was.  Anderson claims to be some sort of constitutional scholar, having a college degree in political science. Earth to Eric…the mother of all nullification bills was our own Declaration of Independence.  (We’d like to give you a pass on this Eric (no we wouldn’t) but you’re not known for being particularly bright and we live to make fun of Liberals.)

Anderson is an equal opportunity hater. He hates not only Vito, but all Champions of Liberty, including Phil Hart.  If you remember, it was Anderson who filed one of the ethics complaints against Hart.  That ethics complaint was actually written by the self proclaimed Rock Star of Kootenai County private investigators, Matt Rotter. (Is our spell check working?)  (Roetter’s been flooding the offices of local investigation firms with his resume but no sucker’s takers have been found.)  (Note to Matt: Investigative tools include more that the Google search engine!)

Andersons, “spaghetti against the wall hoping something would stick” ethics complaint resulted in a new question – was Anderson’s complaint itself unethical?  Our sources report that little Eric believed the ethics complaint was going to “propel him into House leadership”. If that was his motive, the ethics complaint was definitely unethical. (Does it surprise us that a Liberal would act unethically?) Anderson was even heard bragging he was going to be the next Speaker of the House.  Next time you see Eric Anderson ask him how that worked out for him.

Those who have been in Anderson’s presence when he rails against Barbieri, Hart and presidential candidate Ron Paul feel like Dan Aykroyd in a Ghostbusters scene. Remember when Aykroyd runs out of the library basement screaming “I’ve been slimed!”  (Stop Slime-ing us Eric!) Anderson’s hatred of and vitriol toward true Conservatives is something he cannot contain.

Now the good news: Vito Barbieri’s dead last finish out of 70 House members on the ‘Big Spenders’ list is actually perfectly in line with the mind set of his conservative legislative district.  Two other last place Winners are Rep. Phil Hart’s 8th from last finish, and Steve Vick’s second from last place finish in the Senate.  But Anderson’s district was the 2008 Ron Paul hotbed for the state of Idaho.  The same was true in 2012 with Ron Paul winning the March 6th GOP caucus in both Bonner and Boundary Counties.  Something is out of kilter when such a conservative district sends the Number 1 ultra-liberal (dare we say “uber” DFO?) Big Spender to the legislature.  Who was it that said “You can fool some of the people all of the time, or all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.” (Unless you’re a Liberal, then you’re always fooling yourself!)

The Idaho Freedom Foundation’s ‘Big Spenders’ champions also includes Legislative District 1’s Senator Shawn Keough as the number 1 Big Spender in the Senate and Anderson’s seatmate in the House, Rep. George Eskridge who was actually tied for first place with Anderson.

These ultra-liberals even have the gall to campaign “Representing Northern Idaho’s Traditional Conservative Values”. (Our Chuckle of the Day) We are definitely living in 1984 where ultra-liberals masquerade as conservatives all the while attacking the true conservatives behind the scenes.

Chuckleberries dreams of the day when the names Stout, Capurso and Ahrens are added to the ranks of those Champions of Liberty (and conservative spending) Barbieri, Hart and Vick!

  1. Eric you crossed the line, now the voters are going to have their way with you. Its going to be very satisfying to see you loose on election night. Perhaps the north country democrats will take you but I doubt it.

    (Note from Chester: Who’s Eric?)
