Do Chuckle Berries and Boise Leaks Need a Face?

Question of the day that seems have have surfaced a few times at last night’s KCRCC meeting. Do anonymous groups like Chuckle Berries and Boise Leaks need a spokesperson or a public face?

Back in 2014 or thereabouts the Chuckle Berries team considered going public and we had lengthy discussions on the pros and cons. Ultimately we decided at the time we’d rather remain anonymous for a variety of reasons. First we value our privacy and don’t want some deranged nut job darkening our doorsteps, putting our families at risk. But with this idea when liberals battle, they rarely if ever address the content of the message. Instead using ad hominems they attack the messenger and use their divisive tactics to discount the entirety of the message. Our team felt it best to continue to hide behind anonymity in an effort to protect the messenger with hopes the message would be the focal point. It’s not always worked out as planned….but we feel overall we’ve had a better effect by remaining anonymous. This can clearly be seen in our posts regarding Alex Barron, he is on a blood-thirst hunt for the messenger, and has disregarded the content of our posts.

Fast forward to 2020, and now there are innocent people being labeled as Chester and the team. That has a few of the members conflicted as to the best course of action for the foreseeable future. Under consideration would be to have one member of the team come forward to represent this site in public. But we ask ourselves, would that really help? We feel nosey people would hound that person ad nauseum as to the identities of the rest of the team. But we also ask, would it take the flack off innocent people like Marc Eberlein, who have nothing to do with this website? While philosophical questions such as these can go either way, our team is entirely Christian, and don’t want anyone taking the fall for our actions. We proudly own our work, and don’t want it attached to anyone else.

So to our few loyal readers and supporters, here is where we need your help. If you want to see a public face, tell us. If you’re on the KCRCC board ask Brent if he’d grant 5 minutes of time at the next meeting to introduce the face of Chuckle Berries? Not for us to stir the pot.  But simply to say here we are, here is our public face, and answer any questions brought by the committee.  This would be done in an attempt to be transparent and hopefully to give Chuckle Berries more credence and validity. We want to be a professional tool used by liberty minded conservatives in North Idaho, and are willing to do what it takes to make this happen.

Send us an email to chuckleberriesonline@gmail.com, message us on Facebook, or drop a comment on this post and tell us your thoughts.

If we come forward, just keep Alex and the craziness down….we don’t want his shallow death threats and hatred spewed at us. Our team is not afraid to put him in his place if he get’s uppity in our faces. No this does not mean we are violent, instead that we won’t be bullied by bad behavior, and we can and will stand our ground.

  1. Long time reader and I say, stay anonymous. If you come forward, you just become another opinion blog (funny and engaging, but just another opinion). By staying anonymous you have the ability to raise the dander of any elected official no matter the letter after their name.

Put it this way, if one of you was known, your ability to gather info would be compromised. Suspicion would always go before you, whether it is the person talking to you, near you or to those observing you listening to others. Any and every action would be weighed against the “what’s in it for him/her” scale.

    Just my 2 bits.
