Leaky Leaks in the KCRCC

In the Chuckles email bag this week was an interesting find that left us puzzled. So we chewed on it a few days, thinking of a good answer. We’ve chosen to just copy some of the text, and not display the email itself. The anonymity of the author is of utmost importance.

“…Boise Leaks published screenshots from a private KCRCC chat. Now the leadership is upset that information was leaked. If you receive any screenshots from KCRCC messages or chats can you not publish them? Or at least ask Brent first?”

The answer

While this site is anonymous, we are not Boise Leaks. Nor is any member here a part of that site. They are just a similar site, disgusted at the same problems we see in Idaho political circles. They publish their stories independent of this site, and do not seek our approval.  We have no clue how they get their information. Nor do we know who they are.

No member of this site is a KCRCC member, so we have no access to interpersonal messages they exchange. That being said, we’ve heard things in the past leaked out of internal KCRCC chatter. But it was verbal, and not screenshots. We assumed if it was being spoken, it was either common knowledge, or a topic of discussion for an upcoming meeting. Honestly we didn’t do anything with what we heard, because it wasn’t that important.

But to answer the question. In the event we ever are sent screenshots from KCRCC private chats of any kind, we’ll consult with the party that sends it. If we feel it’s newsworthy, we’ll drop the KCRCC chair an email and see what they say. If they approve, we’ll run it.

Chester’s Strategy

When we started this site we started a strategy that thus far is working well to hide our identities. We took a queue from a Schwarzenegger movie that came out soon after the site launched, called “The Last Stand“. In the movie a high profile Mexican drug cartel leader was being transferred to a different jail. The FBI knew he was going to attempt an escape, so they had oodles of agents to watch his every move. What they didn’t account for was the cartel helping him had body doubles in orange jumpsuits. Once the leader was sprung and was on foot, the decoys ran in different directions. The leader changed clothes, while the FBI chased the decoys. Good movie.

The concept of decoys was a fascinating idea for us, so we implemented it as best we could. In the 8 years this site has been up we’ve had numerous people volunteer to help in whatever capacity they could. Some are research gurus, a few are writers, some good at photoshop, while others are simply nothing more than decoys. We call the latter our agents of subterfuge. Another step our writers have done, is to borrow vernacular used by various people, just to cover our tracks better. We mix it up every once in a while, just to keep people on your toes. Watch out, we might just copy your writing style or buzz words.

So word to Camp Alex, et. al. While your attack dogs are barking up one tree and sharing screenshots in your harassment of people, our Team will be hanging out in another tree laughing at your antics. You guys are entertaining.

Advice to the KCRCC

Lastly KCRCC, our advice to you is at least attempt to plug your leaks. Perhaps start with your weakest link (hint, he’s secretary…). Then look at who else he keeps close. A man in his position thrives on positive or negative attention. Therefore it’s plausible that the screenshots Boise Leaks acquired were sent just to cause dissension.  A guy like Alex lives for a good old fashioned shot of controversy, because he can ride into town and put out the flames and play the part of the hero.

The Hegelian Dialectic is a well known tool used by many politicians. Therefore it’s not out of the question that some insider the KCRCC doesn’t suspect might have given it a whirl. Play both sides of the field. Sure we may be wrong in our above assumption. But it’s at least a valid place to start an internal investigation. Better than causing strife.

Lastly, the KCRCC had a meeting last night to pick names for the recently opened County Assessor position. But we have yet to hear who they picked. As soon as we see it posted, or have an email telling us what went on, we might post about it.

  1. “For me, no real conservative endorses Democrats because their policies run counter to conservative solutions—you know, the ones Frank claims have proved far more successful than those of the ‘liberal left.’ Yet, Frank has a long history of endorsing Democrats.” – IFF Board Member, Bryan Smith.

What about Republicans claiming to be conservative but actually DONATING to Democrats? Hey, Brent, aren’t they hypocrites too??? What about Republican Chairmen that cover for these phonies???

Both Bryan Smith and Brent Regan are on the board of the Idaho Freedom Foundation – the self titled champion of conservative and libertarian principles. Brent Regan is the chairman of IFF and chairman of the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee – you know, that political party that claims to be conservative and anti-Democrat.

Brent Regan has yet to come out against the actions of Doug “Doug-0” (that’s Doug-Zero) Okuniewicz for spending gobs of money on Democratic organizations and candidates through his PAC Winning For Idaho. Brent and the rest of the KCRCC were pretty vocal about donations to Democratic causes from gubernatorial candidate Tommy Ahlquist. They even penned a resolution condemning Tommy for it!

Hypocrite much??? Where is the outrage, Brent & Bryan??? You are both full of you-know-what!

  2. Wonderful comment and assessment, think we’ll sponsor your comment as an upcoming post. Job well done.

  3. Slightly OT, but what’s up with Redoubt News endorsing Barron? Inquiring minds want to know.

  4. Bryan Smith does not have a ******* clue why the Idaho Patient Act was passed. It was passed because retired Sheriff Captains like me got ****** by Kootenai Health incompetent billing and being turned over by them for a small amount to collection agencies like Chapman Financial who hit your credit report and add interest with any notice whatsoever, and lie to your face about notice, when confronted in person. But mostly they victimize little girls, just check the legals. Get a clue Smith. The gravy train is over on Jan 1, 2021 for these predatory billers and predatory collection agencies. Political donations are likely to drop from these predators. So what. Does that make me a Democrat?

  5. During our May 13th meeting, Phil called out “Mr. Chairman, personal point of information”. He was recognized and stood tall. He said something to the effect “A recent Chuckleberries article was forwarded to me which stated that stated I was demeaning towards Terri during her Straw Poll discussion. I laughed at it at article but after reflecting on it I realized I was demeaning towards her.” Phil looked squarely at Terri and said “I truly apologize for that, you are an extremely hard working and passionate committee member. I am sorry.” The room erupted in applause, many members standing. Terri got up and gave Phil a hug. It was good.

I commend Phil for “manning up”. He is a proud man and to admit he was wrong, I am sure, was not an easy thing for him to do. Had Chuckleberries not published the account, this healing would like not have taken place.

    Thank you Chuckleberries.
