Brent Regan, chairman of the KCRCC, an honorable man and friend has openly replied to our post regarding Alex Barron speaking out of turn at the last KCRCC meeting. First, yes we knew of the bylaws, but chose to allow him the opportunity to weigh in on the matter before quoting them. But more importantly, while you and others might know these rules, the general public attending the meeting, some current precinct committeemen, and elected local officials there didn’t understand this, and felt Alex goofed. (Yes we heard from 7 confused people that were at the meeting). Perhaps you can make this clear in the next meeting?
But more on point, Duane gets smacked down almost every meeting for speaking out if order, as did Safa in the last meeting. Yet Alex was clearly out of order twice, yet allowed to Ramble On (shameless Zeppelin reference). Why not extend fair and equal treatment to Alex?
Lastly, Brent why so quick to dismiss is as fake news now? In the past you supported our efforts.

The revised Bylaws were emailed to ALL committeemen in November so ignorance is no excuse.
Mr. Rasmussen and Mr. Riadh were interrupted because they were not speaking to the topic of debate. Mr. Rasmussen is a serial offender. Mr. Barron was allowed to speak to Mr. Handeen’s summary of the rules change because Mr. Barron actually served on that committee and had first hand information about the debate and the reasoning behind the July effective date.
Per Roberts, I attempt to let who ever wants to speak do so before someone is given a second chance to speak. This can have the appearance of me passing over someone in favor of another. The Executive committee is at a disadvantage as they are in my peripheral vision so I have directed the Vice chair and Parliamentarian to alert me if one of these individuals seeks the floor. [Fair enough thank you for the reply]
As for Fake News, you are what you print. Don’t blame the messenger. [But we always worked so well together in the past]
PS. Lawrence Forrest Spencer?? That is VERY specific and why do you even print his middle name. Does that include Larry F. Spencer? How many Larry Spencers are we plagued with? [Who doesn’t like messing with Larry?]
