Faction Fiction and Rumor Wrangling

Well, we finally had a report from a few who attended the North Idaho Pachyderm Club meeting last Friday (February 3rd) and seems like it was a case of, if only slightly, false advertising…here’s what they said:

“Jeff Ward gave a very good, but short, talk on political theory and history but when the time came to talk about the so called factions, there was none of it.  Jeff simply talked about rumors.”

“Jeff started with a bang, he’s a pretty good speaker, but when he started repeating rumors it kind of went flat.”

“After a great start, Jeff disappointed by telling rumors.  There was no identification of factions and the rumors did not do much except point out things Jeff wanted people to know about some of the Conservatives in the different races.  He doesn’t like Rally Right very much and that came across pretty clearly.”

“The one thing that I found interesting is when Sheriff’s Candidate John Green called Jeff a bit on the rumor thing.  Green told Jeff that it’s kind of hard to put the rumor horse back in the barn once it’s out, or something like that.  Green then made it clear that he was not recruited to run for Sheriff, he was not part of a slate and that he had a common Treasurer with another candidate becasue they both knew the guy.  I heard someone asking Green, after the meeting if he knew that Jeff was helping Kevin Hutcherson, the C’dA Tribal Police guy.  Green said he did.”

“Hey, not much substance but Jeff is a pretty good speaker.  I found it nice that Jeff and John Green were so polite to each other in spite of the fact that Jeff is helping another candidate. It’s nice when politics is civil.”

We were also told that Ben “Everybody thinks he’s a Democrat” Wolfinger was there…Hmmmm

Well, there you have it Chuckle Fans! Tomorrow we’ll have our Jelly Bean Ball report.  Keep em coming!

Factions, factions everywhere!

This just in….

Jeff “There aren’t five liberals “Republicans” in North Idaho” Ward will enlighten the public about this important issue.  We don’t know if he is correct or not, but his talk tomorrow should be interesting.  (The only Liberal we’re sure of is Doo-ane and he ain’t a Republican, in our humble opinion)

North Idaho Pachyderm Club

Please join us at: 7:00 am Friday: Date: February 3, 2012 Friday at Jonesy’s Restaurant, located  at 819 Sherman Ave, Cd’A.

Speaker:    Jeff Ward Co-Founder and Immediate Past President Kootenai County Reagan Republicans

Subject:  Jeff will speak on recent developments in Republican politics in Idaho and Kootenai County. If you haven’t noticed, Republicans in Kootenai County have become rather polarized of late. Multiple candidates have announced, or are believed to be ready to shortly announce for the May Republican Primary, running against popular and/or newly elected  holders of many positions. Republican incumbents in State Senate, State House, County Commissioner, and other positions will be challenged by individuals backed by competing factions. We’ve always had spirited primary contests, but Jeff will explain why he thinks this year may be different.

Someone please send us a report!
