in a neighborhood of “million dollar homes”?
What do the Kootenai County building permit records show…
has been permitted to be built there?
If somebody lives here, do you think they…
built a pretty swanky house inside?
If they built a big swanky house inside, how long…
have the owners lived in it?
Have the owners paid their fair share…
of property taxes on the full improved value?
Hey, CdA Press, if a public official improved their…
property, in a way which would have required any…
mere mortal (us peons) to obtain a building permit…
and that official didn’t report the improvements so…
that the property could be fully appraised and taxed,…
just like the rest of our properties, wouldn’t that be a bit…
NEWS WORTHY????????
A journalist, a journalist…my kingdom for a journalist!
Million dollar polebarn! Nice! I’m clueless as to what taxes on a million dollar home might be let alone taxes on a polebarn. Bet Stewie isn’t paying what it’s worth.
The only thing wrong with Stewie living in a house in a barn is that he is supporting and passing regulations requiring the rest of us peasants to get those permits and pay those higher (and unlawful) property taxes. We should all be allowed to build a house in a barn, or a tar paper shack with no running water and an outhouse, if we want to.
[Note from Chester: Agreed, Moose, but we didn’t say it was Stewie :-)! On the other hand, we all have to pay property tax on our property based on the real value. If the person who lives in that pole barn has not disclosed the improvements, then the rest of us are carrying their dead weight! Oh, and BTW….TAXATION IS THEFT! But, what makes this worse is, if true, and if this is an elected official with oversight on property tax issues…that person would be a major hypocrite and…dare we say it…Dirt Bag!)
