In a recent Pete Riggs mailer that we had emailed in, an observant reader found something that gave us a chuckle. Petey has been pushing the “I’m a hard working conservative” mantra of late. He wants everyone to think he’s just like them. He talks about farming, guns, and says he is running a grass roots campaign.
Cough, cough, you’ve now had 6 to 8 mailers sent to your district…all paid for by PACs. In a previous post we mentioned the average cost for a mailer as best we can tell is around $2,669.23. So Pete has had between $16K and $21K donated to his campaign just in free mailers. Add this to the $15,400 his campaign took in April alone. Someone REALLY wants him elected!
Today’s laugh is the fact he’s bucking hay with finger-less gloves. Sure he could sling a few around, but if he was doing serious work, his hands would be worn smooth out in no time. Having bucked our share of bales, we’d always opt for a well built pair of leather gloves. But then again we weren’t smiling for the camera either. Strike a pose Pete, the camera loves you…
Analysis
We’re sure on a personal level Pete is easy to talk too. But the purpose of this site isn’t to chit-chat about life. We exist to expose liberalism, and people attempting to fool voters. While Pete might own horses, every photo we’ve seen isn’t of a horseman, but of a guy trying to hard to be hip. Just be yourself Pete.
Oh and did we mention Pete loves him some URD’s? Word on the street is his signs are peppered across the Post Falls URD district. But that’s a subject we’ve touched on briefly, and we need to address in another post.
